 | The James Brothers Band writes and plays rock, blues and folk music. The band was created in 2010 when Lucas began writing original songs. At that time Nick was living in Hawaii. Lucas traveled around a lot and trying to come up with as many songs that he could. Their music is strongly influenced by Neil Young, Bob Dylan, and Bruce Springsteen. He also drew inspiration from books by Albert Camus, John Updike, Jack Kerouac, etc. With help from a good friend, Tyler Zotti, on back up guitar, Lucas began to play small gigs around the San Francisco Bay Area and throughout California. After sending Nick a demo of a few early songs: “Ran Out Of Love” and “Time for Blood”, Nick quickly learned the songs and began playing them in Oahu . When he moved back to California Lucas had a much Larger repertoire so they began to practice nonstop. They currently perform at clubs around the Bay Area.
